New Moon + Solar Eclipse in Gemini – June 10, 2021

The Solar Eclipse on June 10th is bound to shake things up. Conjunct with Mercury Retrograde and the Sun, and Squared with Neptune, which is at home in Pisces, this is a time in which eyes are forced open and the fog you have been trying to escape from reality into is no longer there to shield you from the truth of the world. For many, this may feel like a slap in the face as reality truly does bite, but its venom acts more like the antidote needed in order to fix their vision.

The New Moon in Gemini tells us to speak our truth, even if our voice shakes. The prior Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius urged us to find that truth, and so now it is time to communicate it out into the World.

Gemini isn’t here for the nonsense, while it does want to have fun and see the lighter side of things, in the end this energy knows that there is a way to breakthrough borders, boundaries, and to get results quickly. Even though hard work is involved and can take time, Gemini can see the shortcuts available to speed up the process. New pathways, mindsets, and a need to separate the heart from the mind are focused during this time, to help aid the process of detaching from emotional entanglements that keep us bound to situations which do not offer growth or that threaten the need for independence. With that said, codependent behaviors will be highlighted so to understand where the detachment needs to be put into place.

This Eclipse is not going to be gentle and will not allow sympathetic or empathetic needs to get into the way of what truly serves the highest good of those who need this liberation. The New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Gemini reminds us that we can feel sorry for others, but we should enable a victim-mentality or allow things to continue as they have been. It’s the tough love that we all need in order to grow, the slap in the face we need in order to see things clearly, and the rug being pulled beneath our feet in order to gain better balance.

The New Moon in Gemini is all about duality and wants us to balance the masculine and feminine polarities within us, so not to attach ourselves onto others, addictions, or a need to run from ourselves because of being so imbalanced. This is where these imbalances are being shown, so we can plant the seeds in knowing where we need to make the next steps in order to take better care of our health, mind, heart, and soul. It all starts with Self, and we mustn’t forget that we are both shadow and light, and oftentimes when one is fed more than the other, those imbalances can attract people, situations, or vices into our lives that keep us trapped in a state of separation from ourselves and Source.

This is the perfect time to sit and contemplate on which aspects of yourself you are fueling more, your shadow or your light, and which one is being neglected and screaming for recognition and to be healed. What situations are crumbling in our lives that have been a result of fueling one polarity more than the other, and what parts of our reality are we running from, and why? Then try to understand where this stems from, what wound must be healed, what pleasure is being overly indulged in, and what parts of ourselves are we denying.
