New Moon in Aquarius – January 31, 2022

On January 31/February 1, we are gifted a powerful and visionary New Moon and the Lunar New Year of the Tiger. Not only are we in the midst of Aquarius season, but the Moon, Saturn, and the Tiger converted into western Astrology is none other than Aquarius, creating a conjunction which can translate to being the Eye of the Tiger. The energy is focused on higher goals, marveling into the future and its possibilities, and setting the foundation for that.

Working with Chiron governing Aries, the Wounder Healer speaks to our inner child, reminding us of those dreams that were stolen from us. Saturn, the Lord of Karma, transiting through Aquarius also brings up this wound and asks how we can transform it into higher wisdom, adding to the inspiration of goal setting in taking back those stolen dreams.

The challenge the New Moon brings, is a square between Uranus and all the Aquarian energy. Aquarius wants us to look towards the future and to think outside the box, to grow our dreams and consider the possibilities in making them come true, while Uranus in Taurus is focused on the details and reluctant to changing perspectives. It may not be a good day time for splurging or financing projects, rather we could use this square to devise a budget plan that would be easier on our pockets.

One of the major themes this New Moon will bring are karmic exchanges. Whether you are cashing in rewards or paying debts is entirely derived from the lessons you have learned from the past – both the highs and the lows. This is the result of cycles closing or being put back onto repeat.

The New Moon is also in correlation with the following days significant events: Not only do we have the 2/2/22 (February 2, 2022) but the next day all planets turn direct for the next two and a half months. This is the boost needed to manifest dreams, start new projects, and executing plans. In a sense, the Lunar New Year kick stars 2022 all together with the cosmic and numerological significance involved. So, the focus of this New Moon should be focused on your New Year’s resolutions and higher goals – goals that yield long-term results and set milestones.
