Full Moon in Libra – April 7, 2020

On April 7th we are inspired to restore balance in our World with a harmonic Full Moon in Libra. However, it is paired with an Aries Sun, and the Full Moon caters to completions and bringing things to an end, and so with this fiery edge, there may first be chaos before there is order. This helps put into perspective of where the imbalances are, so to fix the scales. The Full Moon in Libra illuminates our personal and business relationships, bringing to light what doesn’t work, and what does.

With so much going on within our world today, it is almost difficult to have hope, especially when a powerful Full Moon lights up the sky with the influence to restore order, find balance, and to cater to a more harmonic lifestyle. There is so much corruption that is stirring within politics and so much coming to light with our government’s abuse of power. Libra is all about finding the injustice within the World and catering to a compromise in what works, and what doesn’t for the sake of finding and restoring balance.

Many astrologers and spiritual leaders have been speaking about the 7th in being a time where much of the darkness comes to light, and I do feel that this powerful Moon is going to illuminate that. What exactly? Well, we will just have to wait and see.

With time away from friends and most of our finances being cut in half, it is difficult to know how we are going to endure such a troubling time. However, with this time we have, I do feel it is the perfect opportunity to determine what in our budget is essentially a waste of money and to focus on our necessities more than our privileges. While this is difficult, in having to make certain cuts in things we have grown so accustomed to, these will promote proper lifestyle changes that I also feel are going to echo out into our relationships. We are determining what is truly valuable to us, our time, and our energy. This is where not only boundaries are set within our budget, but also within our social life as well. This is how we restore balance within our personal lives, and on a larger scale, project it into our environment as well which will in turn promote more justice within the oh-so dark world of corruption within the system.

The Star signals a time of having faith and giving a hope a chance to light our way through the dark. This is a time of finding that silver lining and making wish upon that fallen star. This is more than just was we want, or what we dream of having, but it is focused on how we can better enrich our lives and bring balance into our everyday routines. This is all about how we can restore peace within ourselves, our social life, and also within the issues that have been troubling us for a very long time.

The star also signals a time of help coming through by a source that is unexpected. So have faith, and expect the unexpected – don’t hold any high expectations about a certain solution and leave room for miracles to take surface.

Find the Beautiful Within the Ordinary | Bring the Darkness to Light

This is more of a habit or even subtle ways that we can find more enrichment during such dark times within our world, more so than just a ritual. I feel that this is a critical time that we need to start focusing on the positive – as Libra is able to see both sides of the coin, we have been pushed to see the darker side of things, with so much fear mongering and hopelessness surfacing about, it is time to start focusing on the positive.

I have decided to make this ritual available for everyone, as it is merely just a list of recommendations you can do during the Full Moon. Typically, all of my Moon Rituals are posted to the Work Your Alchemy Blog or available for download.

Make a list of your greatest qualities – what about yourself makes you proud? What are your best features? Build yourself up. Count all of the ways you feel beautiful and promote them more rather than tearing yourself down.

Make a list of the qualities you most love about your partner – not only will this help you see your partner or friends in a better light, but by promoting what you love, it will overcome what you hate or dislike.

Make a pros and cons list of your social influences – as they say, your vibe attracts your tribe! However, the opposite is true as well – your tribe can influence your vibe. Make a pros and cons list of the great and not-so-great aspects of your social life, your friends, and the activities you had taken part on when you weren’t having to practice social distancing or being on lockdown. When this lockdown has lifted, it will give you a better sense of certain lifestyle changes you need to adapt into when venturing out into the social scene.

Revamp your beauty routine – since many of us have more time at home, it is the perfect time to start focusing on ways we can freshen up our beauty regimen. Do your hair more often or try out new hairstyles. Practice your makeup, or, don’t wear any makeup at all and allow your skin to heal and flaunt that natural look. Create new outfits of what you already own, or even upcycle old clothes that no longer fit or are outdated. This will also breakup the routine of wearing your Pj’s all day and falling into a rut.

Tackle relationship issues – have a willingness to listen to your partner and speak your needs or desires from the heart. This is the perfect time to increase your relationships sense of intimacy and to come to a compromise with old issues that have created resentment or distance. You can even write one another letters, which allows for you to speak your peace without being interrupted, as well as read their perspective and thoughts without having a rebuttal to interrupt them with.

Journal your injustices – since we are all having to stay at home in seclusion, it is a great time to really tap into that shadow work and to focus solely on how to overcome certain pains, traumas, and to heal many of the wounds that still inflict us. Write out what hurts, why it hurts, and consider how it is taking power over your life – where are your triggers? How can you overcome these? Of course this is something that is much easier said than done, and can often times be rather difficult depending on the wound you are addressing, and having the help of a friend or even seeking professional advice or guidance from a counselor can help as well.
