On February 9th we are welcomed with a powerful Leo Full Moon that puts our focus onto our inner child, leadership issues/roles and in finding conclusions with business or creative projects. The Leo Moon is opposing the Aquarius Sun, and so it puts a major emphasis finding creative ways to resolve old issues within the areas mentioned.
Typically, when the Moon is in Leo, drama is usually the main theme – but not in the sense that you would think when drama is associated with trouble. While there is always a tendency to overact in situations that take our shine away, this is a time of grand displays, impressionable entrances and even the need for attention or to be applauded for our hard work and efforts. This is a time to take pride in who we are and what we have to offer.
This regal Moon is all about coming out into the spotlight and taking in the admiration and applause from others. Our shine becomes brighter when we see the light within the eyes of others over what we have expressed to them.
With Valentine’s Day just a few days away, and this Moon coming in the weekend before, we do need to be mindful of splurging over budget for the ones we love and want to shower with our affections. Again, things will be done on a grander scale and often Leo tends to go overboard. Think big balloons, bouquets, chocolates and all the things done in excess when browsing the seasonal isle of your market store.
The way we express our adoration and affection for others is always more meaningful and also much larger when the Moon is in Leo. Aside from buying out the entire stock of Valentine’s Day at the store, we are inspired to sing, write poetry, and even indulge in a things romantic, which allows for our hearts to act upon the love you have for the ones you hold dear.
Tarot Reading for the Full Moon in Leo
Queen of Pentacles
Card is from the Moonchild Tarot
The Queen of Pentacles compliments the Leo Moon with the loving support she offers to those who work hard on their dreams. She blesses you with the right tools, resources, and showers you with her adoring gaze like a proud mother shouting the loudest at her child’s school play. She wants you to win because she feels your drive, determination and your passion in what you are doing.
Associated with the sign Capricorn, the Queen of Pentacles I feel represents Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto which are all in Capricorn at the time of the Leo Full Moon. This is a time of support, self-discipline and being resourceful in reaching our most treasured goals. She also encourages you to love what you do, because that is when you can put the pedal to the metal without breaking a sweat.
Like the Full Moon in Leo, the Queen of Pentacles puts a major emphasis completing projects and reorganizing things in our life that need more order for the sake of staying on task and getting it done right.
