While these two cards do in a sense conflict one another, as the Knight of Cups represents love coming to you, and Thurisaz suggests needing to protect oneself, if you put them together they come with a very power message.

Someone coming to you, promising you the World, making you feel warm and cozy inside, might not be as trustworthy as you’d think. You need to be cautious with this person’s advances and observe their actions more than the words they speak. They might be able to talk to the talk, but they cannot walk the walk. Or worse… they might be speaking so sweetly in order to have you break down your defenses only to do more harm than good.

I feel these cards speak of the narcistic sociopath… someone who manipulates you with lies and broken promises for their selfish needs. Almost like a vampire asking for permission to enter your house, and then attacking you once they cross the barrier, feeding from you and then disappearing once they received what they wanted.

Not all that shines, and glitters is made of gold – it may in fact just be gold plated.

Thurisaz is your hammer, smashing away all that conceals the truth, and a trusty weapon that can be used to defend oneself from manipulation and lies.

You may also need more courage when it comes to reaching your goals and acting out on your passions – you might be holding yourself back for fear of what others might think, or even what you think of yourself. Just as these cards speak of a narcissistic sociopath type, not that you would be that person, but sometimes we can be our own worst enemy and stand in the way of reaching out for the things we want that will bring more happiness and bliss into our lives.

10 of Cups | ᚢ Uruz

Your vibe attracts your tribe…. But your tribe will also greatly affect your vibe as well.

The 10 of Cups is a card of coming together with those you love and cherish and enjoying the company they bring as well as feeling uplifted from the love that is emitted through such gatherings. When you are around those who bring comfort and love, you can feel on top of the World. BUT, when you seek out the validation or gratification from such things because you lack it from within, then it can greatly backfire.

These cards, like the ones before (Cards # 1) also have conflicting meanings, but nonetheless, bring a powerful message of knowing the difference and the fine line between self-sufficiency and enjoying the company of others as well as the upliftment they bring into your life.

Basically, if you are lonely, don’t go looking for love or social validation – find in yourself first, and the rest will follow – you will project a strong sense of self and love that will ultimately attract that in others, allowing you to feel complete within, and surrounding you.

You might want to fit into the crowd because you feel left out – but first you need to ask yourself – does the crowd you’re trying to fit into, compliment who you are? Or does it take away from that sense of self? Do you have to pretend to be someone you’re not in order to feel accepted? If so, then it’s not the crowd for you, because the right people will accept you as you are, and bring out the best in you, not the worst.

XIII Death | ᛈ Perthro

While old cycles are ending, and you are soon going to be entering a more prosperous and harmonious phase in your life, there is some things in the past that still need some considering. You may feel that the past experiences you’ve had were a bit turbulent, but there was much wisdom to be gained from them, and with that comes the answers to some questions you might be fumbling to figure out.

These cards also represent fate and the free will we have to choose our own fate. You might be wanting to go against the current, or to manifest something into your life that is seemingly out of your reach. With that comes a change in perspective, in understanding that all is limitless as are we, and so we shouldn’t allow the limits of yesterday to hold us back in what we desire for tomorrow. REACH. Put that intent out the there and influence the course of your future with manifesting the course you wish to go.

A cycle is ending, as mentioned in the first paragraph, and so it is up to you to design the new cycle and experiences that await you.
