Cards # 1
4 of Pentacles | Adversity
Have you been wondering why you’ve been facing so many blockages when it comes to receiving the things you want? Well… maybe you’re giving too much of yourself and your resources away. The rejection, or the limits you are facing, are most likely coming from the rejection of your own self-care and the lack of limitations in regards to your own boundaries with others, and also the way you utilize your time and energy.
Many consider the 4 of Pentacles to be a very ‘selfish’ card, in terms of holding onto what you have and not sharing with others. However, many misinterpret this, as this card is actually an important one of boundaries and holding onto your resources for a rainy day – as well as holding back from giving to those who take advantage.
When you feel that you aren’t appreciated, or that your needs are going neglected while you keep giving and giving, then it is a sign that you are just giving too much of yourself to the wrong people.

6 of Cups | Forgiveness
One of the most recognized signs of Mercury Retrograde is ex’s resurfacing into your life – and while we are entering the pre-shadow period, many experience the ‘perks’ of infamous Mercury’s retrograde period more intensely (I know I do!). So, don’t be alarmed if that one person it didn’t work out with, comes back to see if you are still interested. This is actually a good time to take a look back into the past and to understand the situation you experienced a little better. Perhaps this person is asking for forgiveness, or they had triggered something else that related to past experiences which had cycled through as repetitive lessons regarding love and relationships.
You might be thinking, “this person doesn’t deserve my forgiveness”, or “offering my forgiveness makes me feel that they are getting away with what they had done.” No, no, no… by offering forgiveness you are taking back your power and no longer allowing the experiences you had to dictate your life and feelings – you are opening yourself up to better experiences in love that no longer have the same lessons that keep you in this downward spiral of pain and regret. This is your opportunity to clear out your heart, and to allow the healing you need.
The 6 of Cups is also a card of remembrance, and paired with the Forgiveness card, it urges you to restore peace within yourself by letting go of the darkness you feel still plagues you today.

4 of Cups | Blame
This placement of cards are very similar to Cards # 2 with their meaning. However, they also bring a different tune in making you look within yourself, to understand that a lot of your grief stems from yourself, and not other people. You may feel that you have had a streak of bad luck with your relationships, romantic or not, and that there is no end in sight. You can’t seem to imagine a brighter future, and so you feel stuck. Well that’s just a perspective based on not letting go of past experiences that have made you bitter, or depressed. I firmly believe that depression has a root cause, and once we figure out that cause, we can finally heal and find that silver lining within the dark cloud we feel is forever hovering over us.
YOU are in control of how you feel, and YOU are in control of how you react to others and their actions. No, you cannot control what others do, or how they feel about you, but you can control yourself. You are accountable for your feelings – you have the power to CHOOSE what you feel and how you go about it. It’s not just as simple as changing your perspective – it does take time to retrain your thought-process, but it all lies within your willingness to do so, as well a continued effort in finding inspiration as well as positivity.
I’ve been there – it is easy to get stuck in the blame game and pointing the finger at others whom you feel is responsibility for your misfortune and misery, BUT, with accountability and effort in the way you feel, think, and react, will help you find your way out of pain and sadness.
