With Mercury in Retrograde for the majority of February, the Lunar New Year of the Ox, and a planetary stellium in Aquarius; this is going to be a month of new ideas, rebelling against old systems/habits, and a focus on future prosperity, productivity, and purpose.

XIII Death | 9 of Swords | XIX the Sun

February asks for sacrifice, as well as a journey into the dark night of the soul. This is not going to be an easy month to navigate for many as it does bring about triggers that beckon to take a closer look at our shadow. There is no transformation without pain, as pain is the movable force that pushes us towards change. Without pain, obviously there is no gain. You can consider this the necessary growing pains that are needed in order for us to evolve and transmute the shadowy aspects of ourselves into the light that is needed for the collective’s evolutionary process in return.

Old systems that no longer serve us, personally, as well as a whole, are on the brink of collapse. The toxicity, the restriction, and defensive mechanisms that were put into place for the sake of protection, avoidance, or even unknowingly/subconsciously, need to be unraveled for the sake of cleansing and release. There is a lot of work to be done this month, much to be done internally, so that we can focus on the future with a fresh perspective that enables the release of old patterns and cycles.

Of course, we all want things to run smoothly, we want nothing more than peace, harmony, and happiness, but that is not something that can be had if we avoid the work that is needed to be done.

The key to this month is to understand the triggers that shake things up. There is a need to not engage in low energies, not to allow these triggers to dictate or direction, and not to act from the place of our wounds, but two instead integrate the lessons, past cycles, as well as new insights that are coming through so to bring about the changes necessary that compliment new ideals, directions, and designing a life that we can be happy with.

This is also a month of higher learning, of reaching towards new Heights and feeding our minds and souls with the nourishment that has been craving. This is a month of self-mastery, as the transformative process that many are going to be encountering is not only for our own good, but for the good of all.
