April 2021 Zodiac Tarotscope

There is a lot of cosmic happenings for April, we have numerous planetary shifts as well as Pluto going retrograde. This is a month of activity as well as commitment with an ending in introspection of what new steps we have taken in the past and how they are currently impacting our lives.

Cosmic Happenings

MERCURY IN ARIES: April 3 - the planet of communication enters impulsive and fiery Aries, which sets the tone for honest yet blunt expressions that can most definitely ruffle feathers. When Mercury is an Aries, it influences fast thinking as well as quick action, making firm decisions that are based on a whim more than thoughtful planning. Oftentimes wrong moves can be made when Mercury is an Aries, because of the impulsiveness. It is important to remain mindful and to slow down, to think things through, and to focus on grounding. This is a great time of starting something new in terms of career or even making plans to travel to a far-off destination.

NEW MOON IN ARIES: April 11 - the first new moon of the Pagan new year falls on April 11th, and with it being an Aries it calls for bringing in new energy, such as starting new projects and taking bold new steps. Accompanied with the new moon is a conjunction between Mercury and Venus, as well as the Sun. Good intentions to set forth during this time would be a new approach to old issues we still need to release and resolve, making new goals, adopting new mindsets, and broadening our vision for the future.

VENUS IN TAURUS: April 14 - Venus leaves Aries and enters Taurus, where it is home. Our value system is going to be put into check, relationships will be a major focus, and our finances are pushed into a more structured budget. While Venus in Taurus can be prone to lavish lifestyle choices, retail therapy, and accompanied with all of the Aries energy it can be quite impulsive with our spending habits. Thankfully with this influence we can channel the energy to a more subtle approach to these things. The goal is to slow down and really consider our actions as well as how they are echoing into the future in terms of finances, relationships, and the things that we are drawn to.

MERCURY IN TAURUS: April 19 - a few days later Mercury joins Venus and the Sun as it enters slow moving Taurus. Our communication style tends to slow down as we are more drawn to look at the facts as well as thinking things through so to develop a foolproof plan before taking action, which allows for us to pull the reins on projects or connections that were impulsively made during Mercury in Aries, however, we can also be more stubborn in shifting our mindset once we are drawn to an ideal or project.

SUN IN TAURUS: April 19 – the Sun joins Mercury and Venus as it shines brightly in Taurus. An earth sign, Taurus is more focused on remaining grounded and feeling comfortable within its skin. This is a time of focusing on our earthly pleasures, gardening – or planting new seeds metaphorically as well as realistically, and supporting growth for the projects and people we connect deeply with.

MARS IN CANCER: April 23 – Mars tends to make waves when it is in Cancer, while the waves might be small, they quietly grow eventually creating a tsunami. Cancer tempers the assertiveness and aggression of Mars and is more prone to hide away from conflict rather than addressing it head-on since sensitivities are heightened.

FULL MOON IN SCORPIO: April 26 – Scorpio urges us to dive deep into our shadow work, pushing us to clean the skeletons out of our closet and to take another look at our wounds so to transform the pain into wisdom. The Scorpio Full Moon takes no prisoners and accepts no excuses, and so triggers will be loud and clear as to what is being mirrored from within us. While our pains and the things that go bump in the night are illuminated by the Full Moon, so is our need to better protect ourselves and loved ones, bringing out our defensive side that does not beat around the bush as Mars in Cancer prefers. This is where those waves become that tsunami and everything bottled up is released.

PLUTO RX IN CAPRICORN: April 27 – October 6 – April ends on a quiet note as Pluto goes retrograde for the next 5 months. Being in Capricorn, Pluto is power hungry and prone to corruption, or being victim to the misuse of authority by others. Here we will enter a phase of introspection in how we express our power and areas that we might be dealing with corruption. Pluto governs power as well as transformation, and when in retrograde its focus is on the internal side of those subjects.

There are so many planetary factors this month which make triggers likely, as well as the need to aggressively act on defense. It may be difficult to hold back from saying what’s on your mind and ruffle a feather or two, but the need to do so is heightened as we need to direct our focus on our value system and how our actions will direct the future – we cannot take back words spoken out of anger, or impulsive actions made on a whim. While slowing down is not an option – especially during the first part of the month, we have to try our best to ensure we are not putting ourselves in situations which will not serve us for the long-term.

Acting with grace and learning to flow with circumstances, where we can gain control, is needed this month. We will be offered support by those who are rooting for us, but not if we are focused on quick-results or taking short cuts.

This is a month of standing up against adversity but doing so with grace and acknowledging the support we have by our side when we use thoughtful and intentional action. Many of the avenues we take this month will be put into tradition, creating habits and long-term commitments.

ARIES SUN & RISING

KNIGHT OF PENTACLES
While you may be in the spotlight for the majority of this month, it is incredibly important that you try your best to remain focused and to slow down. There are going to be temptations all around to tempt you into deviating from your path, as well as so many new bright and shiny invitations which are going to inspire you to release commitments that have been recently made. While shortcuts can get you to your destination that much quicker, you have to keep in mind that it isn't so much about the destination but rather the journey which not only shapes you but also prepares you on how to receive and as well as what to do with the success you will receive. This is not a month for instant gratification, and so you need to try your hardest to apply some self-discipline in keeping your eye on the ball.

5 THE HIEROPHANT
Not only will you be experiencing your solar return near the end of this month, but you will also be presented with an opportunity that allows for you to set higher goals so to receive greater rewards. You are typically grounded and so very sure of yourself when it comes to making decisions, however, something may come about which could possibly seem too good to be true, but in reality, it is exactly how you see it, and so it would be a shame not to accept the invitation to dive into something much higher than yourself. You will receive the support that you need as well as the inspiration to take the right steps.

16 THE TOWER
This month does seem to be quite disastrous as events completely out of your control are going to shape your reality and set the tone for the future. Fate is intervening this month, and there is absolutely nothing that you can do about it. Something that you have invested yourself into which no longer serves you because you have outgrown it, is going to crumble. You can sit there and cry about it but that is not going to do you any good at all. While it might be difficult to temper anxieties, you need to try your hardest to remain mindful and realize that in the end while it may seem things are falling apart, they are actually falling into place.

This month your sign enters Mars, allowing for you to take the spotlight when it comes to decisive action as well as how everyone approaches their aggressive nature. In your case, you are inspired to take a bit of a pause, to slow down and smell the beautiful roses all around you. You have accomplished a great deal in the recent past and while you might be inspired to take on new goals and ventures it is actually better suited to instead focus on the many reasons to be proud of everything you have accomplished so far. You may have planted seeds recently and so you are going to experience their growth which will allow you to feel the reassurance needed in knowing that you are on the right path. It is very important that you be mindful of overindulgence, but by all means most definitely enjoy yourself because you have earned it, just do not go overboard. You may be in line for receiving abundance in the form of what you had asked for long ago, and so it is important to be receptive and take what you are given with open arms.

11 JUSTICE
You had chosen to walk the higher path when dealing with a conflict not long ago, and for that, you are going to be rewarded as things come to a conclusion and are ruled in your favor. This may come about when Pluto enters retrograde, as Pluto is currently ruling your sign. Those who have abused their power, were in a state of corruption, and had harmed you in some way or another are going to be getting what they deserve. Consider this month to be the karmic exchange that has been needed for a very long time. Justice will prevail. This is also a month of ending contracts that you have outgrown and have served their purpose. Take into consideration the experiences that you have endured and turn those into wisdom, allowing for them to shape you as well as guide you into the future.

AQUARIUS SUN & RISING

7 THE CHARIOT
Things are going to be rather fast paced this month and so it is incredibly important that you try your best to keep your head above water. You are going to be faced with many obstacles as well as a sort of crossroads in determining the path that you choose to take. As long as you have the right mindset you can accomplish anything, you can hurtle past those obstacles, as well as remove roadblocks that have kept you from venturing down the path that you had desired. This is also a month of signs and synchronicities leading you down the right path, and so you need to be mindful and pay attention to these. Above all, listen to your intuition and it will not lead you astray.
