New Moon in Libra – October 21, 2025

Picture
The Libra New Moon on October 21, 2025, marks a reset after eclipse season and a turning point in how we approach our relationships, contracts, and personal standards. With the Sun and Moon meeting at 28° of Libra, this New Moon focuses on restoring balance - internally and interpersonally. A time for clarifying what balance really means, and whether that balance comes at the cost of your voice, your needs, or your emotional integrity.

The
New Moon forms an opposition to retrograde Chiron in Aries, forcing a look at how past wounds around self-worth, rejection, or independence still echo through your current relationships. Whether it’s the sting of past betrayal or a tendency to lose yourself in the needs of others, these patterns are likely to surface for reflection. You may feel pushed to confront emotional defenses that were once protective but have become limiting.
This New Moon is a calling you to get honest about what you expect from others and what you’re willing to tolerate in return.

A square to Jupiter in Cancer may exaggerate emotional responses, especially where
you’ve been giving too much in hopes of keeping the peace. If you’ve been overextending yourself emotionally, financially, or physically to maintain the illusion of harmony, this New Moon will call that into question.

There’s
also a square to Pluto in Aquarius, which intensifies the emotional undercurrents in your connections. Power dynamics may feel more obvious now. You might notice how much energy you spend managing others’ expectations or carrying emotional weight that isn’t yours. If it feels like you’re stuck in cycles of repeating the same relationship lessons, this New Moon offers a point of interruption - if you’re willing to get real about your part in the dynamic.

Libra is associated with beauty, justice, and diplomacy, but
it’s also a cardinal sign - meaning it’s built to initiate. This New Moon is a time to reset the agreements you’re making with others, but more importantly, the ones you’ve made with yourself. The habits, patterns, and roles you’ve played in the name of “keeping the peace” are being put under the microscope. It’s time to raise the standards on what balance looks like in your life.

The Libra
New Moon opens a six-month chapter focused on building healthier, more mature partnerships - romantic, platonic, or professional. You’re not being asked to let go of love, but to let go of dynamics that drain your power.

What’s in store for your Sign?
Read for your Sun, Moon, and/or Rising.
Aries Rising
The New Moon lands in your 7th house of relationships, bringing up a need to recalibrate how you show up with others. It's time to get honest about what you want from love, partnership, and the people you regularly invest in. Whether romantic, professional, or platonic - dynamics are shifting. You’re being asked to stop compromising your identity just to keep the peace. Pay attention to the old stories you tell yourself about needing to do it all alone versus the way your inner self actually longs to be supported.

Taurus Rising
The New Moon activates up your 6th house of routines, health, and how you serve others. If your day-to-day has felt off-balance or your energy’s been pulled in a dozen directions, this is your cue to make changes. The way you show up at work, how you support others, and the structure of your daily life may need a serious reset. This is your time to stop overextending and start protecting your peace.

Gemini Rising
The New Moon activates your 5th house of pleasure, self-expression, and creativity. It’s calling you to look at how you’ve been hiding your joy or putting your own needs last. Reconnect with what lights you up - not what looks good to others or fits someone else's idea of fun. You may also be reworking dynamics around romance or parenting, especially where it’s felt one-sided. Let yourself initiate something new from a place of honest desire.

Cancer Rising
The New Moon lands in your 4th house of home, family, and inner security. Emotional patterns around people-pleasing or keeping the peace may feel louder than usual. This is your moment to set boundaries within your inner circle and redefine what home feels like. Whether you’re navigating family tension or craving deeper emotional safety, the New Moon helps you call in more stability - not through control, but through clarity.

Leo Rising
The New Moon falls in your 3rd house of communication, mindset, and your immediate environment. You’re being asked to clean up how you speak, what you agree to, and the messages you send through silence. If you’ve been bottling something up or tolerating dynamics that drain you, this is your opportunity to change how you engage. It’s also a good time to revisit agreements, contracts, or close connections - especially where the power feels imbalanced.

Virgo Rising
The New Moon enters your 2nd house of values, money, and self-worth. This is about more than budgeting - it’s about stepping into new standards. You may be noticing where your energy doesn’t match the compensation or where old emotional patterns have impacted your confidence. The New Moon asks you to stop investing in what depletes you and start building around what sustains you long-term - financially, emotionally, and energetically.

Libra Rising
This is your New Moon and it’s in your 1st house of identity and personal direction. You’re clearing out pieces of yourself that have been shaped by compromise, projection, or the pressure to appear “put together.” This is a powerful time to shift how you see yourself and how others interact with your boundaries. Don’t expect it to be easy - but do expect it to be worth it. You are not the same version of yourself you were six months ago. Act accordingly.

Scorpio Rising
The New Moon takes place in your 12th house of endings, healing, and the subconscious. You’re being asked to release the narratives that no longer serve your path - especially the ones around isolation, hiding, or over-sacrificing. Emotional patterns may come to the surface unexpectedly. Don’t ignore them. The New Moon is showing you what needs to be cleared before you step into your next cycle.

Sagittarius Rising
The 11th house is lit up for you - this is your zone of community, social impact, and long-term vision. If your connections have been feeling off or your goals have lost momentum, this is a chance to recalibrate. Reevaluate the groups you’re part of, the collaborations you’ve said yes to, and the dreams you’re still chasing. If it’s been feeling one-sided, unaligned, or draining - let this be the reset.

Capricorn Rising
The New Moon lands in your 10th house of career, legacy, and public roles. You’re entering a new chapter around your professional life - but not without first acknowledging what’s been off-balance. Whether you’ve been undervalued or over-performing, this is the time to name it. Realign with your goals and stop bending yourself into roles that don’t reflect your true path. You’re allowed to say no. You’re allowed to shift direction.

Aquarius Rising
The New Moon falls in your 9th house of beliefs, education, and expansion. Your worldview is changing, and the New Moon supports a new relationship with truth - not the kind others hand you, but the kind you land in through lived experience. You may feel the call to travel, study, or begin something that stretches you spiritually. Old beliefs about what’s realistic or possible are being challenged now. Let yourself evolve.

Pisces Rising
The New Moon activates your 8th house of intimacy, power, and transformation. It’s asking you to name the contracts - spoken and unspoken - that you’ve outgrown. Whether financial, emotional, or sexual, something may need to shift in how you share, trust, and merge. You’re not here to carry someone else’s emotional weight. The New Moon supports you in severing ties that drain you and reworking the dynamics that still matter.
